Russell, parade chairman, have announced the parade order and schedule for the traditional Manhasset Memorial Day Parade, and for the attendant memorial services. All Manhasset residents, their families and friends are invited to join the legion in this remembrance of the great sacrifice of American heroes. The theme of the parade this year, "Enduring Freedom" is a reminder that continued vigilance and readiness is the price of freedom. On Saturday, May 17, a sun-soaked Ruggiero Field played host to the first annual Manhasset "Day of Baseball." Sponsored by the Manhasset High School Booster club, the event drew many fans who were treated to a full day of quality baseball. The girls PAL program lead off the day with a double-header of well-played games. Next, the Manhasset HS Junior Varsity defeated East Rockaway, 8-5. The Varsity baseball team capped off this successful day, soundly defeating the East Rockaway Rocks, 8-2. FULL STORY
