(The following letter was sent to the chief of the MLFD and the commander of the 6th Precinct and is printed here at the writer's request.)
Please allow this letter to serve as a commendation to the exemplary performance of the 6th Precinct Police Officers, Firefighters of Manhasset-Lakeville Company #1 and emergency technicians who responded to an emergency 911 call on Friday evening, Jan. 24, at the home of Mr. Joseph T. Pinzino of Manhasset.
They were prompt and professional in the performance of their duties. Within minutes of placing the call, police officers and firefighters were on scene applying aid and comfort to Mr. Pinzino as well as comforting and reassuring the family of Mr. Pinzino that the situation was well in hand.
They transported Mr. Pinzino to St. Francis Hospital within mere minutes of their arrival. As this is the proficiency demonstrated daily by these police officers, firefighters and emergency technicians, our community has come to expect it from these fine individuals. The reason we so easily expect it is because it is given selflessly every day, without question or hesitation. Our community is truly fortunate to be the beneficiaries of this service, and I am hopeful that this letter serves as a reminder that you and your fine men and women are not taken for granted.
The family of Mr. Pinzino extends our most gracious heartfelt gratitude to the Manhasset police officers, firefighters and emergency technicians.
Stephen D. Pinzino, Esq.
