A Festive Sharing: Reformed Church Honors Christ Church
Bright sunlight filled the sky and sparkled through jewel-toned stained glass to welcome members of the Community Reformed Church into Christ Church on Nov. 24. The neighboring churches both share a long history of ministry in Manhasset. On this occasion, Christ Church's name day of Christ the King Sunday, a gift was made and presented by the Community Reformed Church children. A colorful felt banner proclaiming "Let There Be Peace on Earth" was created by the Sunday School students. Members of both churches participated in the worship service, and enjoyed singing by the Christ Church children's choir under the direction of Ms. Maxine Thevenot, followed by the Community Reformed Church's children singing under the direction of Mrs. Mitchell.

MHS Varsity Girls Basketball Team
On Nov. 23, the Manhasset Varsity Girls Basketball team started training for the 2002-2003 Basketball season under Coach Suzanne Collins and Assistant Coach John J. Kiggins. The members of the team are: Seniors Kate Breslin and Tess Patalana, Juniors Alison Herdemian, Kathleen Kelly and Juliet White, Sophmores Liz Byrns, Meghan Clarke, Annie Duvnjak, Aly English, Laura Molins, and Eileen Ward, 9th-grader Meghan Gaffney and 8th-grader Laura Scansaroli.
