As reported in last week's Manhasset Press, the Homecoming Parade was a great day in Manhasset, one of the annual events to which we all look forward.
A recent addition to the annual Manhasset event is the Manhasset Children's Circus. Held last year for the first time on the grounds of Shelter Rock School, it is a project of the Rotary Club of Manhasset under the leadership of Don DeWitt. This year the circus was held on the grounds of Manhasset High School and it was an even greater success. Rotary plans to make it an annual event.
The Kiwanis Club of Manhasset will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Manhasset High School Cafeteria. It's another enjoyable event at which you see your friends and neighbors.
The Manhasset Chamber of Commerce honors its Man of the Year in the person of John (Jack) Gallagher, known to most of us through his years as head of North Shore University Hospital. The party will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3, at Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club.
So in addition to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, we have a list of specifically Manhasset events to enjoy in this autumn season. They are all run for good causes so take time out to enjoy them.
