The 53rd Blessing of the Fleet in Manhasset Bay on June 15 combined traditional intercessions for our boating community with a remembrance of all we lost to the terrorists last September. This year we also specially and proudly saluted the veterans of our Armed Forces and those now serving us.

At St. Mary's 7th Annual Parish Golf and Dinner Outing, held on Thursday, June 20 at Plandome and Deepdale Country Clubs, there were no lone champions, rather tight knit foursomes: parishioners, family and friends enjoying a fun day of golf in support of St. Mary's Parish Social Ministry. Over $117,000 was raised via golf and dinner reservations, a cash raffle, silent auction, tee signs and sponsorships. Most of all, it was an opportunity to have fun and make memories.

On The Bay
Larchmont Yacht Club hosted the Sonar Long Island Sound Championships on Saturday and Sunday, June 29-30. Five races were sailed over the two days. Six Sonar teams from our area competed for the Championship, which was won by skippers Jeff Shane and Rick Jordan.
