I have a few comments for the members of the Manhasset community regarding Norgate. Norgate is located between the high school, Plandome Road and Northern Boulevard. As such, it is a common cut through for traffic to and from Northern and as an access to and from the high school. It would be appreciated if those who pass through would show some consideration for speed, traffic laws and the safety of pedestrian traffic. The Stop sign at the corner of Dennis and Norgate is not optional. It serves a purpose. Safety! School buses should not be passed because you're in a hurry. For those of you who utilize Memorial Field, please pick up your garbage and place it in a proper container. When you park in front of someone's house, try not to block the driveway. When you make a U-turn, try to stay off the lawns. A little neighborly consideration will go a long way. Thanks.
