Joseph G. Wills, 83, of Ft Lauderdale, FL, died Friday, May 10 at his summer home in Greenport.
He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Charles A. Wills and Lillian Jeffries Wills.
He graduated from Fordham University in 1941. He was honorably discharged as a lieutenant in the US Navy after having served in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters in WW II. After the war he lived in Manhasset and worked for over 30 years for General Adjustment Bureau in NYC and retired as a general adjuster.
He loved his wife and family, baseball, fishing and other sporting events.
He is survived by his wife Doris Hylind Wills, four sons, Joseph, James, Richard and Christopher, as well as ten grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Maryann Wills Parks, and a brother Charles A. Wills.
Mr. Wills was buried Monday May 13 at Holy Trinity Cemetery in East Hampton.
