In her initial season as coach of the Manhasset High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team, Suzanne Collins, a former standout player at Manhasset High School and St. John's University, led a very young girls' basketball team to a successful season, culminating in the team's participation in the playoffs. St. Mary's Gaels won their 4th straight New York State High School Hockey Championship by defeating Lancaster (Buffalo) 11-5 last weekend in Rochester. This was also the 7th state championship in eight years for the Gaels. FULL STORY
