Rita G. Tallon, 90, died on Feb. 27, 2002, at her home in Charlottesville, VA. She was a long-time resident of Manhasset and moved to Virginia in 1993. She was a member of St. Mary's R. C. Church in Manhasset and active in the Rosary Society and the Manhasset Community Club. She also served many hours as a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital and with the Auxiliary of the Nursing Sisters of the Sick Poor.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Joseph; her son, Joseph, of Phoenix, AZ; her daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Gene Colligan, and her daughter, Lizette, all of Charlottesville, VA. She is also survived by her grandson, Jay Colligan, and his wife, Veronica, of New York City and by her granddaughter, Caitlin Colligan of Arlington, VA.

There will be a memorial Mass in Charlottesville in May.
