The opinion piece entitled My Religion (1/31/02) contained too many inaccuracies, misinterpretations, erroneous conclusions, etc., to deal with in a letter to the editor. One of the most obvious, however, involves Mr. Theodorsen's irritation with members of organized religion--he cites Billy Graham's son--who have the "arrogance" to believe that theirs is "the best path to heaven." It's odd, though, that he has no problem with the "arrogance" of those who believe that organized religion is not "the best path to heaven."

If one is willing to tolerate the "theology" of Jesse "religion is a crutch" Ventura, one should certainly afford the same leeway to, say, Jesus Christ. "On this rock I will build my church."
