On Jan. 25, Town of North Hempstead Supervisor May Newburger gave her ninth annual State of the Town Address, which follows her resounding victory in the November elections when she won her fifth term of office as town supervisor. The talk was given at the League of Women Voters annual luncheon at the George Washington Manor in Roslyn. Amy Bass chaired the event.

Manhasset Soccer Club Announces Registration for Spring Soccer
Registration for spring intramural soccer for pre-k through third grade will be held at the Munsey Park School gym on Jan. 26, Feb. 2 and Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration forms are also available at www.manhassetsoccer.com. Completed forms and checks should be mailed to Manhasset Soccer Club, P.O. Box 341, Manhasset, NY 11030. The fee is $95 for players in grades kindergarten through third grade and $50 for players in pre-k. The deadline for registering is Feb. 17. A late fee of $50 will be charged for registration forms received after Feb. 17.
