Manhasset: The Year 2001 in Review
A winter northeaster brought 13 inches of snow to Manhasset on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2000. It inconvenienced travelers throughout the area, but the three-day weekend gave children an opportunity for fun with the snow.

Manhasset Soccer Registration
Winter Indoor Soccer is available for Grades K-3. The cost is $50 per player and will be held at the Shelter Rock Gym on weekday afternoons. Registration can be done at Shelter Rock during the the first week of January, beginning Jan. 07, 2002.
CYO Volleyball Registration Closes
St. Mary's CYO will have final registrations for girls travel team volleyball on Sunday, Jan. 6 at St. Mary's Immaculata Hall. This is for all girls grades 5 through 8. After these dates, registrations may not be accepted. Games start in late January, and the season finishes in mid-April. There are still a couple of coaching opportunities available for interested parents. Please mention your interest at the registration. All registered girls will be called within a week's time with practice schedules.
