Doris E. Young died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, NH. She was born May 4, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY. She graduated from Jamaica High School, NY and completed two years of college.

She was the wife of the late Wilbur Young and lived for many years in Manhasset, Mattituck, and Indian River Shores, FL.

She was a member of the Congregational Church of Manhassset where she was a superintendent of the Sunday School, a member of the Woman's Club and on various boards. She was also a past president of the Eastern Star and also a Girl Scout leader for many years.

She was predeceased by her sister Helen and is survived by her three children, Everett Young and his wife Anne-Marie of Manhasset, Donald Young and his wife Judith of Port Washington, and Barbara Woodman and her husband Ralph of Rye, NH, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were held at the Congregational Church of Manhasset, Saturday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m., followed by burial in the Cuthchogue Cemetery, Cutchogue, NY at 2 p.m. If desired, donations may be made to charities of one's choice.
