Manhasset High School's girls Varsity field hockey team held on to its undefeated position for a second week in a row. The team has established a 7-0 record and currently stands at number one in its conference division.

This week's roster featured four games. Manhasset played Great Neck North and won in a 3-0 shutout. Scoring goals for the Manhasset team were Buhr (1) and Valentino (1) with a strong back-up in saves by goalies Lee (1) and Piluso (1).

On Oct. 5, Manhasset was pitted against Massapequa in a tough game but the stronger team prevailed with a 2-1 score. Goals were scored by Breslin (1) and McCooey (1), an assist by Hotarek and three saves by goalie Lee.

On Oct. 8, Manhasset played Cold Spring Harbor defeating them 4-2. Three goals were scored by Breslin and one goal by Buhr. The goalies worked especially hard with five saves for Piluso and three saves by Lee.

The final game of the week was a 4-0 shutout against opponent Oyster Bay. Scoring for the team were Breslin (2), Buhr (1) and Valentino (1). The team, coached by Steve Sproul and Brandy Miller, shows terrific teamwork and sportsmanship.
