The Varsity and JV Manhasset Girl's field hockey teams, coached by Steve Sproul and Brandy Miller have been invited for the first time to participate in the Disney Wide World of Sports Field Hockey Tournament in Orlando, FL this September. In order to take part in this event the members of the field hockey team had to raise funds in the community and they eagerly did so. A special thanks goes to the "Great Neck Car Wash and Detail Center" at 790 Northern Boulevard, which is owned by Ed DiBenedetto and Mat Silverman. They donated special rebate car wash coupons that the girls sold, enabling them to reach their goals. Also, thanks to the Manhasset Booster Club, Edison's Restaurant, Eileen Killeen, Gail Kelly and Cathy Harris. The girls expressed their special thanks to the Manhasset Community for its critical support. The Girls Field Hockey Teams will be giving their best for Manhasset in Disney World. |
