Teresa S. Komarek, 88, of 2 Wesleyan Street, Panama, NY, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL and Long Island, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in her residence.
A Panama resident for the past four years, she was born June 22, 1913 in Glen Cove, a daughter of William and Theresa Lambertson Sager.
Before her retirement she was employed as a clerk for the Manhasset-Lakeville Water District in Manhasset where she worked for many years.
While living on Long Island, she was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving is a son, Peter F. Komarek, with whom she made her home in Panama, a daughter, Marie K. Miller of Pittsburgh, PA, five grandchildren, Carrie Miller of Sarver, PA., Laura and David Miller, both of Pittsburgh, Jonathon and Matthew Komarek, both of Panama and a sister, Elizabeth Pollitt of Patchogue.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Komarek, whom she married Feb. 23, 1946 and who died April 28,1966, and three brothers, Frank, William and Frederick Sager.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 235 Glen Street, Glen Cove. Visitation will not be observed. Arrangements are by the Lind Funeral Home, 805 West Third Street, Jamestown, NY.
