Warren Thomas Maurer of Elmsford and East Quogue, formerly of Manhasset, died on July 27 at White Plains Hospital. He was 72.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Glendale, Queens, he graduated from Fordham University in 1951 and received his MBA from New York University in 1959. In 1952 he married the former Brenda Lamb of Brooklyn.

He served in the Army during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Lieutenant. He worked as a financial analyst for New York Telephone and NYNEX in New York City and White Plains. From 1960 to 1987 he lived at 140 Webster Avenue in Manhasset and was a parishioner at St. Mary's Church.

Mr. Maurer is survived by his wife, Brenda, of Elmsford, daughters Dr. Kathleen Maurer Smith of Westbury and Laurene Malinowski of Wilmette, IL, and son Brian Maurer of Brooklyn. Also survived by his mother, Anne Maurer, of Langhorne, PA, and 10 grandchildren. Family members who died earlier include his daughter, Jennifer Malinowski, in 1998, and brother, James Maurer, also formerly of Manhasset, in 1996.

A funeral Mass was held on July 31 at the Church of the Transfiguration in Tarrytown. Interment was at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury.
