The Manhasset Chamber of Commerce has recently been distributing a street brochure map with ready reference information. Unfortunately the Florida publisher used Yellow Pages "Church" listings and ignored the "Synagogue" listings. We profoundly regret this omission and wish to apologize to our many friends in the Jewish community of Manhasset. The Chamber has always been proud of the diversity and resources that make up Manhasset's business and residential community. As co-chair of the Manhasset Interfaith Council for many years, I am particularly embarrassed by this oversight.

The Chamber is preparing an addendum to the brochure to be inclusive of the Houses of Worship and referencing parochial and private schools. We will also be adding this information to the Manhasset Chamber's website: www.Manhasset.org, where we will link to individual websites of our churches and synagogues. These are important references for our new and longtime residents, and we intend to continue expanding our community improvement programs on behalf of our members.
