Regina O'Neil Beatty was born December 23, 1913 in Peoria, IL died on April 9, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn. Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Beatty. Loving mother of Robert T. Beatty, James N. Beatty, Barbara Wecklein and Kathleen Materazzi. Cherished grandmother of Suzanne Beatty, Debra B. James, Robert W. Beatty, Donna Beatty, Diane B. Boiko, Donald W. Wecklein, Kevin Wecklein and Sean Wecklein. Great-grandmother of Sarah N. James, Teresa F. James, Lauren James and Saige Victoria

She was a resident of Strathmore Vanderbilt, Manhasset from 1939 until 1997 when she moved to The Mayfair in Glen Cove.

She was a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital for 42 years, 15 of those as the head of the volunteers. She was also a volunteer at the Helen Keller Institute for several years. Visitation was held at the Fairchild Funeral Chapel, 1570 Northern Boulevard, Manhasset, Wednesday, April 11. Funeral Mass was Thursday, April 12. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Manhasset. Internment was at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn, NY.
