Village elections for all Manhasset villages except North Hills will be held on Tuesday, March 20, from noon until 9 p.m. There will be no contested elections this year. Absentee ballots may be picked up at the village halls. The fact that a resident commutes to Manhattan is not sufficient reason to apply for an absentee ballot.
In Flower Hill, incumbent trustees Tab Hauser, Charles Weiss and Avery Ryan are running for two-year terms. Village Justice J. Bruce Byrne is running for a four-year term.
In Munsey Park Mayor Harry Nicolaides is running for re-election as are trustees Albert Jaronczyk and Dr. Edwin Tan.
In Plandome A. Scott Wilson is running for mayor. Running for trustee seats are M. Lloyd Williams and Judy Bode. Lawrence B. Florio is running for re-election as village justice.
In Plandome Heights, incumbent trustees Marion Endrizzi, Bart Giusto and Paul Whelan are running for re-election to two-year terms. Cye E. Ross is running for a four-year term as village justice.
In Plandome Manor, Mayor Carlo Manganillo is running for re-election as is trustee Thomas O'Malley. There is another trustee position open for which no candidate has filed. Voters may write in a name.
