"If you would not be forgotten, as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write things worth reading, or do things worth the writing."

Benjamin Franklin

As the founder of the first circulating library in 1731, what would Ben Franklin think of Manhasset residents' attitude towards the public library today? Given the above sentiment, I think he would ask us to rise to the occasion, and provide the support and funding to build a new library in Manhasset.

The specific site and details of the library are important, but far secondary to the main issue of publicly supporting a new library.

Please speak out here or directly to the board of trustees of the library and demonstrate that you will vote yes to a new library when the issue is presented.
