Manhasset Library Seeks Public Input
Having once again determined that the residents of Manhasset need a larger improved library, the trustees of the Manhasset Public Library have invited the public to two meetings at which four proposals will be discussed.

County Executive Vetoes Legislature's Budget
A recent turn of events, which saw the Nassau County Legislature pass a 2001 budget it felt was a step on the road to fiscal stability only to have Nassau County Executive Thomas Gulotta veto it, has left the county's financial status in limbo. The legislative Democratic majority is now calling for an override of Gulotta's veto.

Gaels Hockey Goes for Three-Peat
St. Mary's Ice Hockey Team is gunning for its second Three-Peat State Championship this year with 21 enthusiastic players. The Gaels have won five of the last six state championships and they are looking forward to this year's playoffs to be held upstate in Newburgh.
