Flower Hill to Offer Flu Shots
At this month's meeting of the village of Flower Hill, preliminary site plans were submitted for a proposed expansion to the Flower Hill Professional Building, located on Northern Boulevard and Ridge Drive. Al Collard, the owner of the property located in the business section of Flower Hill, was present with his attorney and architect to review the initial plans with the board. If approved as presented, an additional 2,364 square feet would be added to the existing structure along with 12 new parking spaces (added to the 37 already existing on the property). The changes would increase the footprint coverage from 15 percent to 19 percent.

Manhasset Bay Yacht Club staged a water ballet performance called "Manhasset Bay on Broadway" this summer. The directors/choreographers and instructors were Mrs. Angela Barbuti, Angela Barbuti and Sandra Barbuti. Here are some of the performers.

On The Bay
After competing against the top international match-racing sailors for four consecutive days, Ed Baird, the 42-year-old skipper from St. Petersburg, FL and skipper for the America's Cup challenger, Young America (1999), has won the 19th international Knickerbocker Cup, held on Manhasset Bay from Oct. 3-7, 2000. Baird entered the final round of competition against Australian James Spithill, and won the series in two straight match races.
