Manhasset VFW Presents Leadership Award to Bill Miller
William J. Miller was selected by the Manhasset Veterans of Foreign Wars as the second recipient of the "Kenneth D. Molloy Leadership Award" which was presented at the annual Manhasset High School Booster Club Sports Award Banquet.
Publisher Karl. V. Anton, Jr. Dies at 81
Karl V. Anton, Jr., publisher and editor-in-chief of Anton Community Newspapers, died Saturday morning at his home in North Merrick with his wife Angela Susan Anton by his side. His death followed a short illness of cancer. He was 81 years old.
LOCAL 5th GRADERS CAPTURE NASSAU CYO
The Angels, a 5th grade CYO travel baseball club, captured the Nassau County CYO Championship. The club features players from Manhasset and Roslyn, and is sponsored by St. Paul's parish.
