One Contest in Village Elections
Only one trustee seat is being contested in this year's village elections. In Flower Hill, where Mayor James Damascus is running unopposed for re-election, there are five candidates for four trustee seats. Incumbents William Clemency, Norman Glavas, Ann Frankel and Avery Ryan are running for re-election. These candidates are running on the Flower Hill Party line. Also running for trustee is Robert P. Young of Flower Hill, Port Washington who is running as a candidate of the Alternative Choice Party.

Flower Hill's Village Election Is Contested This Year
In a relatively quiet March village election year, only one election in Port Washington is being contested. That village is Flower Hill, which has a population of around 5,000 residents. The election will be held on Tuesday, March 21, from noon-9 p.m. at Village Hall, which is located at One Bonnie Heights Road.

Baseball and Softball Update
There will be a special girls softball pitching clinic, conducted by Manhasset HS Varsity Softball Coach Karen Hammel on Saturday, March 18, from 3-5 p.m. at St. Mary's Wiest Hall. This is most appropriate and highly recommended for any girls interested in pitching, grades 3 through 8.
