The Village of Plandome, through a series of meetings held earlier this month, has announced the timetable to implement the planned improvement and reconstruction to the section of Plandome Road that runs through its village. FULL STORY

Steve Eisenberg, president of Adelphi University, is very well connected politically. Less than two weeks ago his guest speaker was Hillary Rodham Clinton, with whom he had attended Yale Law School. This Tuesday, before introducing former Senator Bill Bradley to a crowd of students, faculty and guests, he revealed that they had attended Oxford University together, more than 30 years ago. After defeating the Nassau County High School All-Star Team 2-1 in the first game and 6-2 in the second, St. Mary's went on to face two formidable opponents in Millbrook Prep from upstate and Wyoming Prep from Pennsylvania. FULL STORY

On Feb. 6, Manhasset's boys indoor track team placed second in the county championships at Farmingdale College, scoring 34 points. Manhasset's 4x200 meter relay team of Damion Williams (10), Mack Bradley (11), Scott Zaremba (11) and Tory Dean (12) won their county championship by more than two seconds. This fast team had broken the school record back in January. Damion Williams (10) won the 300 meter race (37.2), very fast for a sophomore. Garvey Camilien (11) was second in the 1000 meter run (2:41.5), a personal best time for him. FULL STORY
