    Last Saturday, the Manhasset Girl's Varsity Swim Team concluded its regular season on a very high note. The Nassau County Girl's High School Swimming and Diving Meet was held at the Goodwill Games Aquatic Center in Eisenhower Park. Hundreds of swimmers took part in this event and Manhasset's athletes stood out above the crowd by achieving All-County honors. FULL STORY

    The two-goal underdog, Manhasset United, stunned the soccer world by closing strong against their Long Island rivals to capture a second place berth in the highly competitive fifth grade CYO division this weekend. Cure of Ars-Bellmore felt the United's wrath in a 6-0 explosion as the Manhasset "Bomb Squad" lobbed five heat-seeking crossing passes on to striker Brian Sternemann's boot for a first half blowout last Saturday. The hometown favorites settled for a hard-fought split, however, as New Hyde Park's Elite team ended the United's four-game winning streak in a hotly contested battle on foreign turf 2-1 on Sunday.
