Houses in which people live should not be converted into parking lots in a residentially zoned area. We cannot believe that the Manhasset Press places development ahead of the people who live in the community. Surely the Manhasset Press does not suggest that we should destroy homes for parking lots. The whole "parking lot" matter raises suspicions about the motives of those who want to destroy our neighborhoods--with parking lots as the opening wedge. Is this proposal to line the pockets of the developer at the expense of the citizens of Manhasset? Mr. Bent is simply interested in personal gain at the expense of the Manhasset residential community.
