Nancy Sullivan of Naples, FL, formerly of Plandome, died on Oct. 9, 1999, after battling brain cancer.
She was born in Brooklyn, the daughter of William and Kaye Butler. She is survived by her children, Deirdre, Brady and Bryan. Her positive attitude for life and people, along with the strength and guidance for those she touched, will be honored and remembered forever. A memorial service will be announced. Margaret "Maggie" France MacGowan, 48, of Mesa, AZ, died Sunday, Aug. 8, at the Mi Casa Nursing Center in Mesa.
Born in Margaretville, NY, on Sept. 25, 1950, she was the daughter of Lorrie and Jack MacGowan of Mesa, AZ formerly of Manhasset and North Kingstown, RI.
Ms. MacGowan grew up in Manhasset and graduated from MHS in 1968. She graduated from Adelphi University and held a master of arts degree from Columbia Teachers' College.
She had worked as a teacher, chef, dancer, body movement specialist and calligrapher. She was also a historic museum steward at Smith's Castle in Wickford, RI.
Besides her parents, she leaves two sons, Jesse MacGowan Fielding and Lyle Hamilton Fielding, both of Mesa, three brothers, Andrew MacGowan, William MacGowan and John MacGowan, all of Newport, RI and a sister, Laurie Jean Warner of Milwaukee, WI.
She was the wife of the late Scott F. Fielding.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Aug. 15, at Smith's Castle in North Kingston, RI. Another memorial service was held at Apache Wells in Mesa, AZ on Oct. 3.
