Mrs. Marcelle Stratton, nee Helen Lovenduski of Duryea, PA, a long-time resident of Summit Drive, Plandome Heights, passed away in her home in October 1998. She is remembered by our family and a small circle of friends as a generous, warm, and inspirational person. The widow of Mr. Charles F. Stratton, partner of Mrs. Karen H. Larsen and our "Aunty," she was the embodiment of strength and good character. A world traveler and aesthete with an unforgettable sense of humor, she espoused a philosophy in which life is to be lived to the fullest and each day embraced with absolute enthusiasm.

Mrs. Stratton's love of music and gardening was surpassed only by her love of life in all its forms. Although she left us never knowing how truly loved she was, her influence on our lives continues to be felt today and will not likely ever be forgotten. Funeral was at Fairchild of Manhasset and burial at Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
