The Empire State Games, held this year for the first time on Long Island, is the second largest amateur sporting event in the world with more than 6,000 athletes participating. The opening ceremonies for these games were held at Hofstra University and the contests for each of the 32 sports represented were held at various venues throughout both Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Allie earned a spot on the select 156-member Women's "Open" Field Hockey team which represented the Long Island region (Nassau and Suffolk) in the games.

Allie, the youngest member of this "Open" team will be attending the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA where she was recruited to play on their nationally ranked field hockey team.
