Edward J. Miller, 88, of Governor's Way, formerly Camden, ME and Plandome, died Wednesday, July 14 at his home following a battle with cancer.

he was born in Newark, NJ, Feb. 25, 1911, the son of William and Henrietta Werner Miller.

Mr. Miller was a retired employee of Grumman Aircraft Company, Bethpage, and a former member of Plandome Volunteer Fire Department and the Camden Lions Club. He served on the St. Stephen's Vestry, did volunteer work for the Camden Health Care Center and the Pen Bay Medical Center, and he and his wife, Jinny, drove many miles for Meals on Wheels. He was an avid sailor and family man; he passed on his love of the sea to his children and grandchildren.

Besides his wife of 57 years, Virginia Belden Miller, he is survived by two sons and their wives Donald B. and Nancy Miller of North Reading, MA and Robert E. and Mickey Miller of Moreno Valley, CA; a daughter, Mrs. Roman (Nancy) Chopchitz of Framingham, MA; six grandchildren, Sandra Miller of Boulder, CO, Cynthia Miller of San Francisco, CA, Thomas Miller of North Reading, MA, Christy Goethe of San Jacinto, CA, Michael Chopchitz and Emily Chopchitz, both of Framingham, MA.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 22, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 27 Pleasant Street, Brunswick, MA with the Rev. Daniel Warren and the Rev. John Ashey officiating. A reception will follow at the Miller home in Topsham. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Port Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Edward J. Miller Memorial Fund at St. Stephen's Church, 9 Carlton Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050.

Lucy Lynn, 50, of South Portland, ME, died Monday at her home.

She was born in Manhattan, a daughter of Robert Patrick and Marie Madeo Lynn. She graduated from St. Mary's School in Manhasset, and from Trinity College in Washington, DC in 1970 and with a BA in history.

She resided in Cape Elizabeth and South Portland, ME since 1984.

Ms. Lynn was employed in the Development Offices of the Spurwink School, The Children's Museum of Maine and Sweetser Children's Services, all in the greater Portland area.

Ms. Lynn was a communicant of St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church in Cape Elizabeth and was a parish Eucharistic minister. She was a tireless volunteer to various educational and civic organizations.

She is survived by a daughter, Marie Louise Follayttar and a son, Jr. Steven Follayttar, Jr.; a sister Marie Lynn Schryver of McLean, VA; and two brothers, Anthony J. Lynn of Sherman Oaks, CA and Robert P. Lynn Jr. of Lloyd Harbor.

Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, July 15 at St. Maximillian Kolbe Church in Scarborough, ME. Internment followed at the Riverside Cemetery in Cape Elizabeth, ME.
