Michael Ferrari plays for Team USA.

Michael Ferrari, a 1998 graduate of Manhasset High School and a member of the 1999 USA. Under-19 Men's World Lacrosse Team, the reigning world champions, brought home the gold again from the "Land Down Under," Adelaide, Australia.

The World Games were held from July 2 to 10 in Adelaide. Team USA played against teams from Australia, England, Japan, the Iroquois Nation and Canada. The US team was selected from more than 120 registrants last summer during a four-day tryout at Hofstra.

Nine of the 23 team members are from New York State and seven are from Long Island.

After the closing ceremonies and an evening reception for more than 400 people, the team flew to Honolulu, Hawaii for an exhibition game and three days of well deserved R and R.

Michael is a student and member of the lacrosse team at Duke University and will be entering his sophomore year this fall.
