* Follow-up on Michael Yorke's Certa Cito: The boat left Bermuda last Friday morning (6/18) and was expected here on Tuesday (6/22).
* Over Memorial Day weekend came the Block Island Race. Among the crew with Rich Du Moulin on Lora Ann were John Browning, Steve Moore and Chris Reyling. These people have been sailing together for many, many years.
The race started at 5:30 p.m. on Friday evening off Stamford. The course was around Block Island and ended at Stamford around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Distance: 185 miles. In the class of 14 boats, Lora Ann finished third.
Soon comes Block Island Race Week, June 21-25, with about the same crew. Both the Block Island Race and Block Island Race Week are Storm Trysail Club events.
* Jonathan Siener, listed above, may not have been previously mentioned in "On the Bay." In his senior year at Hobart he was captain of the sailing team. He has sailed Lasers in the Empire State Games. His brother Graham, a freshman at Brown, was on the sailing team.
* Because of the activities of one or more of our local sailors, the Sandbaggers covered in last week's issue may be in the news again.
