On Saturday, June 12, the Manhasset Baseball League is having a grand opening and dedication ceremony for the new Manhasset Valley Park Baseball Field. All are invited. The festivities begin at 9 a.m. sharp with the field dedication and NYS State Senator Michael Balboni throwing out the first ball. In addition there will be:

* free commemorative T-shirts for the first 300 children to attend

* free water bottles

* free coffee, bagels and juice for all

* free raffles for two sets of four excellent Mets tickets

* home run hitting contest at 11 a.m. for fourth grade boys and girls

* sign-up stations for Summer League Baseball/Softball

Best of all, there will be five games played on the new field, starting with the third and fourth grade girls and featuring the Yankees and Giants in the ceremonial game. Please come and celebrate the new ball field for our children.
