On Thursday, April 29, the Manhasset boys and girls track team hosted the tenth annual Gold Coast Relays on the home track. Twelve boys and girls teams were present, including Port Washington, Herricks, Great Neck South and Great Neck North, Roslyn, Carle Place, Clarke, Wheatley, Oyster Bay, North Shore, Locust Valley and Glen Cove. More than 450 medals were won by 500 athletes in 50 different relays. Thanks to the Manhasset Booster Club, the huge relay meet ran successfully in three hours.
Manhasset's best relays were the sprint medley, 4x100 meters and 4x200 meters. The sprint medley won with Mack Bradley 400m., Tory Dean 200m., Londre Blocker 200 m. and Arthur Rudolph 800 meters (3:46.6); 4x100 meters won with Dwayne Yearwood 100 m., Londre Blocker 11100 m., Dwayne Baldwin 100 m. and Tory Dean 100 meters (45.8) and the 4x200 meters won with Mack Bradley 200 m., Londre Blocker 200 m., Dwayne Baldwin 200 m. and Tory Dean 200 meters.
The frosh-soph relays were run in fast times and won by Anwar Huffman, DuJohn Hendricks, Keith West, Aret Akbork, Garvey Camilien, Derek Whelan, Blake Redford, Derek Shriftman, Jamel Hendricks, Carlos Moya and Damion Williams.
