Each year the SCA sponsors a fair in Manhasset. This year's fair will be on Saturday, May 1. We all buy plants, attic treasures, ride tickets, food and raffles We, in Manhasset, realize that the SCA Fair prices are not by any stretch of the imagination any competition for Home Depot and Price Club. There is no doubt that we all shop the big box stores, all year-round. However, on SCA Fair day we voluntarily pay more for plants, baked goods, attic treasures and other products. Why? The reason is that we are supporting our schools and the programs that benefit the children of Manhasset. Last year the SCA Fair raised over $70,000. This money was spent on enrichment and aid to benefit Manhasset students.

I suggest and encourage each Manhasset resident, their friends and families to come to the SCA Fair on May 1, enjoy yourselves and Spend, Spend, Spend! We may end up paying a little more to help our schools and our children, but isn't it worth it? This year ignore the prices, as the only thing that is on sale is the support of an education for all the children of Manhasset. Support the SCA.
