New York State has given the developers of Harbor Ridge, a Lifecare Community planned for Hempstead Harbor, approval to begin accepting priority reservations. This is a necessary step that precedes the construction of the development. The purpose of this step is to assure New York State that there is sufficient demand for such a facility to be built. The annual budget for the Village of Flower Hill's 1999-2000 fiscal year was reviewed and unanimously approved by the board of trustees at this month's meeting. The biggest news from the budget is the rise in the tax rate for the upcoming year.
