After weeks of organizing and grading, the coaches of the intramural programs have picked the teams!

PAL Boys Lacrosse Intramural League play is starting on Saturday, March 27, at Munsey Park Field. Third and fourth grade games start at 8:30 a.m. and the fifth and sixth grade games start at 10 a.m. Uniforms will be issued to those teams who have not received them.

This has been the largest turn-out ever! There are six teams in the senior division and six in the junior division. A great season is anticipated.

The first and second grade program starts at noon on Saturday, April 10. There is still time to register.

The traveling teams have been practicing with their coaches. Eleven traveling teams have been organized and their first games are scheduled for April 11. The teams have high hopes of coming out on top at season's end.

The original four teams, Manhasset, Garden City, New Canaan and Darien, return this year in the "Battle of the Sound Challenge," and the event enters its third year. New Canaan High School will be the host team.

The rivalry has expanded to include all four varsity women's lacrosse teams as well as boys and girls J.V. lacrosse teams. For the next two years, Garden City will play Darien and Manhasset will play New Canaan.

Darien High School has beaten Manhasset the last two years, by one goal in each game. Garden City has beaten New Canaan the last two years. The teams will now switch opponents. The event will be held on Saturday, April 17.

Darien versus Garden City at 3 p.m.New Canaan versus Manhasset at 5:15 p.m.

All are invited to watch four of the top high school lacrosse programs in the country. A large crowd is expected for this event.
