Please explain to your readers how it happens that Hillary Clinton, from Arkansas and Washington DC can run for senator from the State of New York. I know that Robert Kennedy pulled the same trick, but I never could understand the justification for it.

As things have developed, President Clinton now takes the position that the pusillanimous vote of the senate exonerated him from the heinous act that led to all of his troubles. He is the first man who jumped into a sewer and came out making himself smell like a rose.

Now comes Hillary, with a shady ethics background in Arkansas, and prime mover in a gigantic, luckily repudiated, boon-doggle plan for health care and is talked up as a desirable and probable winner of a senatorial seat from a state not her own. Now she is even being mentioned as a candidate for president.

A great role model for family values, she maintained to the last (and possibly still believes?) that the charges against her husband were merely the ranting of right-wing political opponents.

Wake up, America! Tear off the front cover of the latest (March 1) Time and Newsweek, stick a pin in them, and mail them to the news staff at the White House.
