Kathleen Fennelly Kaufmann died suddenly on Jan. 19 in her home in Burlington, MA. She had been a long time resident of Manhasset and Tuckahoe, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Kaufmann as well as her sisters Sally Lorenz, Anne Burns, brothers Martin, William and James Fennelly. She is survived by her sister, Margie Grace, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass was on Saturday, Jan. 23, 9:45 a.m., St. Mary's RC Church. Interment Holy Mount Cemetery, Tuckahoe, NY. Benjamin DeMascola of Manhasset died on Jan. 23, 1999. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Marie. He is survived by his children, Gail Doherty and Eileen Doherty; his grandchildren Miaka, Trip, Allison and William; great-grandchildren, Amanda and Kelly. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Frank J. Berberich, 85, formerly of Plandome, died on Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial was said on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Pinehurst, NC, with Father Robert T. Lawson officiating. Mr. Berberich was a graduate of the City College of New York and Columbia Law School, Class of 1937. He practiced law at Sullivan and Cromwell and was vice president of American Standard in charge of European operations. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; brothers Charles W. Berberich of Williamsburg, VA, William M. Berberich of Islip, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
