Village and Museum at Odds Over Space
The Village of Plandome Manor, which suffered the loss of the historic Nicoll's house a few months ago, is in the news again concerning another village property. Although the property occupied by the Science Museum of Long Island, the former Goldman Estate, is centuries younger than the Nicoll's estate, it is of significance to Plandome Manor.

Marriott to Manage Harbor Ridge Senior Living
Harbor Ridge Associates and Marriott Senior Living Services have announced their agreement for the management of Harbor Ridge, the Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) planned for North Hempstead. The community, which will be built on the former Morewood property overlooking Hempstead Harbor in Port Washington, will consist of approximately 330 independent living apartments and 70 personal care and nursing beds.

MHS Indoor Track Athletes Win Medals at Invitationals
The 1998-1999 indoor track season opened on Dec. 19 with the Bishop Loughlin Games on the new $600,000 indoor banked tract in the 168th New York City Armory. Fran Moya, Don Scott, Scott Zaremba and Tory Dean ran 1:37.9 and won their race in the 4x200 meter relay (4th best all-time Manhasset). Dean, Aidan Schmidt, Zaremba and Scott placed second in their 4x400 meter race.
