A Centennial Fair Day in Manhasset
October 3 was cloudy in the morning but the day brightened up later on and the Manhasset Centennial Street Fair, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce under the direction of its president, Betsy Chesebrough, was a hit. Music filled the air as Parade Grand Marshal Michael C. Adams, parks commissioner, led the parade down Plandome Road. As always, the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department's equipment was a favorite with all the fairgoers.
