North Hempstead Supervisor May W. Newburger has announced that the tee-time reservation cards for the new Harbor Links golf course will be available for sale beginning Thursday, July 9.
"With the Arnold Palmer Golf Management Company, we've brought a top-flight management team on board for golfers in North Hempstead," says Supervisor Newburger. "Now we're prepared to make tee-time reservation cards available to the public."
Beginning on Thursday, July 9, the Harbor Links tee-time reservation cards will be available at the Physical Activities Center (P.A.C. building) in Senator Michael J. Tully Park. The cards will be sold seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.To accommodate commuters, Supervisor Newburger has also authorized evening sales of the tee-time cards, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Supervisor Newburger reminds the public that three proofs of residency are needed in order to be eligible to purchase the resident tee-time card. Residents will need a driver's license, the section, block and lot number of their property (found on the deed or property tax bills and receipts) and a copy of a current utility bill.
Tee-time reservation cards afford golfers the chance to set their tee-times in advance of the general public. Town residents who purchase tee-time cards will be able to make a reservation to golf on Harbor Links six (6) days in advance; non-residents who purchase a reservation card will be able to make a reservation five (5) days in advance.
The fees for the tee-time reservation cards are as follows:
1998 Resident $35
1998 Non-Resident $70
1999 Resident $50
1999 Non-Resident $100
1998-99 Resident (Discount) $75
