Joseph A. Corso of Flower Hill died on May 29, 1998. Mr. Corso was the former registrar of Flower Hill. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice; children Carol Kane, Joseph and Michael Corso and Diane Milano; grandchildren Michael, Eleasa and Matthew; and by his brother, Charles Corso.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Roslyn Heights Funeral Home. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, June 2, at St. Mary's R. C. Church in Roslyn Harbor with interment following in Roslyn Cemetery.
Joseph C. Pisciotta, 72, died May 16, 1998 after a short illness at his home. He was Brooklyn born on February 23, 1926, the son of the late Joseph M. and Olinda Anello Pisciotta of Manhasset. He was a lifelong resident of Manhasset.
Mr. Pisciotta attended Cornell University and graduated from Fordham University. He was a Veteran of WWII having served in the US Army. He spent many years as an insurance investigator and, more recently, as the general manager for Wright's Hardware.
He was an active member of the American Legion Post #304, Manhasset. Prior to his death he received his 45-year, membership pin. He served twice as Post Commander.
He is survived by his wife, Grace D., daughters Janet Callahan of Middletown, NY, Grace DeCurtis of Glen Head, a son, Joseph of Manhasset and grandchikldren. Survivors also include brother, Louis V. Pisciotta of Manhasset, sisters Vita Pisciotta of Bruttle Bow, VT and Olinda Wheatley of Greenfield, IN.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's RC Church on May 19. Memorial contributions can be made in his name and sent to: Hospice Care Network, 900 Merchants Concourse, Westbury, NY 11590.
