Catherine F. Somers of Manhasset died on April 30, 1998. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Edward, and her son, Warren. She is survived by her children Larraine O'Malley and Barbara Somers. She is also survived by her grandchildren Teresa, Tara, Dean, Janine, Jessica, Kristin and Jacquelyn and her great-grandchildren, Sydney and Kaitlyn. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Fairchild Funeral Chapel in Manhasset. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary's R. C. Church on May 4 with interment following at Calvary Cemetery. Donations in her name may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Agnes Sanse (nee McKenna) of Heathrow, FL, died on April 30 at age 78. She was a former resident of Manhasset. She retired as associate director of Wyckoff Heights Hospital in Brooklyn after 25 years of service. She is survived by her husband, Ray, children William J. and Ann Mahoney and Sharon and Richard Berger and her stepchildren Anita Galan, Raymond Sanseverino and Raphael Sanseverino. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated on May 6 at SS. Cyril and Methodius R. C. Church.
