Nassau County Executive Tom Gulotta will "throw out the first ball" as the Manhasset Baseball League starts its first season on Saturday, April 25. The game will start at 12:30 p.m. sharp and will feature the major division game between the Devilrays, sponsored by The Saints, and the Orioles, sponsored by PP Whitney.

There will be free popcorn and free raffle tickets for drawings each inning, starting with the first pitch. The prizes will be baseball bats, gloves, baseball carrybags, etc. from Phil's Manhasset Sport Shop. Come on down and catch the action.

There will be four major division games on Saturday at Memorial Field and Manhasset Junior HS. At 5:45 p.m., the minor division begins play at Memorial, the Junior HS and Shelter Rock School. On Sunday, there are more major and minor games, plus the introduction of all 12 Tee-ball teams! They play at both Memorial Field and Shelter Rock this week. In case of inclement weather, parents should check with the team manager.
