Manhasset's All Americans: Dwayne Wilson, Kalif Gocan, Kareem Wallace and Kevin Kirk.

On Saturday, March 14, in Boston, MA, at the 1998 National Indoor Track and Field Championships, Manhasset's sprint medley relay team (400m, 200m, 200m, 800m) finished fourth in the USA, beating 47 selected teams.

The team of Dwayne Wilson (12), Kalif Gocan (12), Kareem Wallace (12) and Kevin Kirk (12) ran 3 minutes 36 and .33 seconds to break a school and Nassau County record. The athletes have worked toward this goal since they have been freshmen. All have been county champions and been All State. Wallace ran the 400 meters in 51.5, passing to Gocan who ran 200 meters in 22.9, who passed to Wilson who ran 200 meters in 23.4 and anchor Kevin Kirk who ran 800 meters in 1:57.6.
