Bulletin from Barbara

Christmas 1997

There is delightful anticipation in the land
The magical night and day are at hand.

Christmas has come to us once more,
Our warmest wishes for everything good, therefore.

We did not see much of the white stuff called snow
But there's kissing under the mistletoe.

Plandome Road with gifts and lights galore
Really put us in the mood to buy more.

Then come culinary pleasures, you bake and bake
Until you can barely stay awake.

The feeling of good will is everywhere
And you want to be part of it, here and there.

Watch a child admire toys with hope and glee.
Will Santa remember us? Just wait and see.

Every night you imagine on the roof the clatter.
All ages need true faith, that is the matter.

Belief, love, respect is what it's about.
These are the ingredients you can't do without.

Could the spirit of the season never leave town
We'd live in contentment from this moment on.

But as we all know, there is always a grinch.
Let's try anyway. It could be a cinch.

For peace on earth the bells are ringing.
We wish the whole world could be singing.

If you are lucky you'll see Santa as over he flew
And dream that you were giving gifts too.

We wish you all a Happy New Year today
With contentment and health that will not go away.
