The Island Trees soccer team has announced that Andrew Willoughby signed his national letter of intent to play soccer at New York Institute of Technology. Willoughby was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs. His most impressive season was his senior year.
As a captain, he led the team to a league championship and a run to the county semifinals. He led the league with six goals and nine assists, two of which came in dramatic style in overtime during the playoffs. Nassau County and New York State rewarded him for his season earning Conference Player of the Year, All County and All State. Willoughby will be attending NYIT on scholarship while studying business management.
